I have been married for over 25 years. I did not live out a carousel of chaotic relationships. I lived something more subtle and just as costly: Growing up carrying more than my share, translating everyone’s needs, and running on over‑functioning and resilience while quietly sidelining my own emotional bandwidth.

For 25+ years I worked in the demanding world of healthcare, building systems, managing teams, and supporting multi‑million‑dollar practices where precision and complex communication were non‑negotiable. At home and at work, I was the one who could hold it all. That competency is a strength... and it can also become a beautifully disguised self‑abandonment.

My pivot was intentional. I turned the same strategic, analytical mind I used for others onto my own life. I went deep into:

• evidence‑based psychology and attachment theory

• nervous system regulation and boundary work

• and my own natal chart, which laid out in one confronting snapshot "the loyalty patterns," over‑functioning, and survival strategies I had been running for years.

I realized I did not need more grit. I needed a different strategy for how I related to myself and to the people I love.
